Course Duration

The programme spans two (02) years and consists of PUC I and PUC II, which is one year each. An applicant must complete his or her PUC within two (2) academic years of enrolment to the first semester. A student who successfully completes two (02) years of the programme will be awarded the Pre-University Certificate, by Karnataka Pre-University Board.

Admission Entry Requirements
i) Age: At least 15 years old and above.
ii) Academic Level:
Admission to Pre-University courses in Karnataka is primarily based on the performance of students in the 10th grade exams (SSLC or equivalent). The Karnataka Pre-University Board sets guidelines for the admission process, which are followed by the individual institutions.
  • After securing admission, students select their preferred stream of study (Science, Commerce).
  • Some institutions also conduct entrance tests or counselling sessions for stream selection.
Any of the following or equivalent:
  • Applicants must have completed their 10th grade exam (SSLC or equivalent) or equivalent with Science / Commerce subjects as optional with at least 50% aggregate marks or a related field, with English as a mandatory for admission.
  • Applicants with other qualifications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis

iii) English Proficiency level: Any of the following or equivalent:
  • Pass LORAA Business Academy English Placement Test; or
  • 10 level subjects conducted in English; or
  • IELTS 4.5/ TOEFL 500 or equivalent; or

  1. Original S.S.L.C Marks Card
  2. SSLC Certificate
  3. Caste Certificate
  4. Income Certificate
  5. Xerox copy of Online Application Form
  6. Xerox copy of Aadhar Card
  7. Xerox copy of Student Bank Pass Book
  8. Passport Size Photograph – 4 and one Stamp- size photograph
  9. Karnataka, Single Girl Child, Persons with Disability, Rural, Kannada Medium Certificates – If Applicable
  10. Migration Certificate except for the Karnataka State Board applicants
  11. School leaving transfer certificate from last qualified institution
  12. 1 Set Xerox copy of all the above documents

Instructions:
  1. All the students should carry original documents and 1 set of Xerox copies
  2. The fees should be paid online as per the challan issued during admission. There is no provision to pay the fees offline; hence, students are informed to maintain sufficient balance in the bank account.
  3. The students of other states and foreign countries are eligible in accordance with state and central government guidelines from time to time
  4. Incomplete Application will not be processed
  5. The applicant should be personally present for Admission along with the Parent/ Guardian.
  6. The Candidate should satisfy all the other conditions set by PU Board.
  7. After the counselling/ Interview, the candidate selected shall be enrolled after the payment of fee as per the fee structure. Final admission is subject to the PU Board’s approval.
  8. No transfer from one discipline to any other is permitted.

Conditions Pertaining to submission of documents
  1. At the time of admission, candidate must submit all the original documents, copies and other relevant documents as well as a hard copy of the completed application form.
  2. Students should ensure that they keep a photocopy of the documents for themselves before submitting the same to the Academic department.
  3. The original documents submitted will be returned to the students only after the end of the programme.

Eligibility
To secure admission in one of the best PU colleges in Bangalore, applicants must have successfully passed the Karnataka SSLC Examination or any equivalent examination recognized by the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka, and must meet all prescribed eligibility criteria.

Process of Enrolment
  • Students seeking admission to the two-year Pre-University course must fill out the application form available at the college office.
  • The completed application form, along with all required documents, should be submitted in person to the Admission Cell at the campus or sent via courier to the college address.
  • The list of shortlisted applicants will be notified and invited to visit the campus for completion of admission formalities.
  • Parents or guardians are required to confirm the admission by paying the prescribed fees within two days of selection.
  • Please note that the granting of admission is entirely at the discretion of Shri Aarna Pre-University College.
